Tender A
The NUS BIM Research Centre of Tender A will be converted from two existing computer rooms (E-studios) in NUS SDE2 through Additions and Alterations (A&A) works. In the existing facility, features like plugs and wirings for the computers and the electrical equipments are already in place. This helps to reduce the excessive alterations, allowing for cost effectiveness and reduce time required in construction.
The following facilities can be found in our NUS BIM Research Centre in Tender A:
BIM Lab
The BIM lab is a conducive room for conducting meetings, group discussions and even guest speaker events.
The lab offers the following:
1. Interactive corner with touchscreen panels
for hands-on experience or BIM related
games
2. Meeting/discussion room for BIM related
discussions and meeting
3. Sitting area with projector for guest speaker
event and lessons
Director's Office
Located at the top right hand corner of the BIM Centre, this office provides the necessary privacy and conduciveness to the Director at work.
BIM Studio
The BIM Studio will be used to conduct classes and training for students and industry users.
The studio offers the following:
1. State of the art computer technology to
support and ensure the smooth operation of the high demand processing softwares
installed.
2. BIM Softwares available includes Revit,
ArchiCAD, Glodon, Vasari, Bently, Ecotect,
Tekla Structures, CADMEP, Navisworks,
Onuma System
BIM Centre Admininstrative Office
The Receptionist at the reception area located inside the Admin office cordially welcomes and directs all Visitors to their relevant destinations.
From the outside, through the glasses, Visitors are also able to have a clear view of the BIM Lab, showing the professionalism of the centre.
Pantry
Catered for the Director and the office personnels working in the BIM Admin Centre, the pantry provides a quiet and relaxing area for staffs to rest or have their meals during their lunch time.
